Puddle o' pee

Yep - that is what I stepped in yesterday AFTER giving my sweet, lovely child Dane a big ole piece of cake.

I took the cake back.

He went to bed.

He didn't even tell me he peed - just did it and walked thru it to get to the piece of cake.

I have been struggling with how to keep him from doing it - times outs are not working - going to bed isn't working - wearing a diaper isn't working (yes I tried this).

So yesterday I decided to not allow him to play the DS or with the Ben10 watch - his two favorite things. I stressed all day long that peeing our pants makes us lose things, blah blah blah.

I am not sure if it was 100% effective BUT he hasn't had any accidents today! (well, not really accidents - they are more "on purposeses"

:)

Naps no More

So today Dane, my dear, sweet, lovable, bratty ass kid ;) decided that nap was not his friend. I laid him down for nap at 12:45 and at 3:00 (yes, 3 hours and 15 minutes later!) he was still playing in there.

I am honestly at a point with him that I am just about to explode. He pushes every single button I own and finds even more that I didn't know about.

His room is trashed. He won't pick it up. He will stay in there until he is 18 or it is clean, period.

How long will this stage last!??!

Oh Dane

(I don't know how many times I will need to use that title on this thread)

Dane is still going through a VERY 'trying' time and is trying every little thing to assert his independence. While I want my boys to be independent, I just wish the process wasn't so damn painful for me! It's all about me ya know :)

I actually rocked Dane to sleep tonight. It was really nice to do that, I can't tell you the last time he let me rock him to sleep. He is getting too big too fast.

Is this a sign?

So - while updating the font color for this site...the code I needed to enter was "666" ???

I think they know Dane....

Dane has not injured himself today BUT he did manage to spill a fountain pop INTO Colt's carseat and soaking Colt's legs and butt :( Colt had been sleepin' and got pizzed - there went my relaxing shopping.

Soooooooo

Obviously this blog isn't going to encompass all of Dane's injuries because I stopped writing them down over a year ago and trust me he gets hurt often. But this is what he has done in just the last few weeks...

Fell while wrestling with Hunter and hit his head on the corner of my bed. Big bruise and cut by his mouth.

Fell when jumping in bed. Hit his forhead on the bed frame - big bruise.

Fell down the stairs when Jamie and I were moving a bed up the stairs. Huge, nasty bruise on his back!

Fell down the stairs AGAIN and landed on the doorstopper. Nasty cut on his hairline - small, but bled a bit.

He looks beaten, for real. Poor kid - he just is accident prone.

21 months

21 MONTHS - Was playing with Hunter and fell and bounced his head off the metal register. Only cried for a few minutes, but after 4 hours it was still goose-egged HUGE so we went to the doctor and had xrays. Luckily no skull fracture but I am still pretty sure he had a mild concusion. This boy is going to be the death of me.... :)

14 months

Went behind a tree at Grandma and Grandpa's house and came out screaming. We couldn't get him to swallow at all or even take his binky for almost 6 hours so we had to take him to the ER because it was well over 90 degrees thatt day and we were afraid he would get dehydrated.

Genesys couldn't find what was wrong so they transferred him BY AMBULANCE to Hurley and the pediatric doctors at Hurley suspected he swallowed a bee so they gave him benadryl in his IV and within a few hours he was much better.

10 1/2 months

Broke leg trying to walk at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Doctor's first didn't realize it was broken and put it in a splint but he got a horrible pressure sore and ended up in a cast for a few weeks. Trust me - it did NOT slow him down.

Yes, this needs it's own blog

I have decided to blog about the injuries of Dane. This way when CPS questions me about the 10 bruises and/or cuts on his body I have a dialog of his crazy ass.

Seriously.
